. 4th of OCTOBER 2008 : Creation of the Khulan Action Group in Mongolia

. The Khulan Action Group in Mongolia is a network that gather together all experts for Mongolian Wild Ass or « Khulan » conservation (Equus hemionus subsp.) in et ex-situ.

. This action group has been created on the 4th of October 2008 by the association GOVIIN KHULAN in order to permit a better communication and cooperation between all Khulan experts and people interested in acting for its conservation : researchers, specialists, rangers and specialists working in protected areas and for wildlife management in Mongolia, and the local population. Meetings and workshops (with training sessions for rangers and people) will be organised every year or every two years in Ulaanbaatar and in Hatanbulag (where the Khulan Conservation Center will be created by the association GOVIIN KHULAN in cooperation with the Hatanbulag office). The members of this observatory will cooperate for the creation as well as for implementation of research programmes as well as for implementation of conservation actions, information and education, and management recommendations in and ex-situ.
